Sewer Scope Inspection in Dearborn & Metro Detroit

The main sewer line runs underground where no home inspection can see it, and replacing one can cost thousands. A camera survey shows its real condition before you buy.

What the camera looks for

  • Tree roots growing into joints
  • Cracked or broken pipe
  • Offset or separated joints
  • Bellies, where the pipe sags and holds water
  • Partial or full collapse
  • Grease, scale and debris build-up
  • Older clay, cast-iron or fiber pipe nearing the end of its life
  • Where the line runs and how deep

How it works

  1. We access the line

Through an accessible cleanout, usually in the basement or near the foundation.

  2. Camera survey of the main line

A waterproof camera travels down the line toward the city connection, recording as it goes.

  3. You get the video

The recording is linked right in your report, so you, your agent or a plumber can watch it.

  4. Findings in plain English

What we saw, where it is along the line, and whether it needs a plumber's attention.

Questions

Do I need a sewer scope on a newer home?

It matters most on older homes, homes with large trees in the yard, and houses that have been vacant. Newer lines can still be damaged, so many buyers scope regardless.

Do you clear blockages?

No. We inspect and report. If the line is blocked or damaged, a licensed plumber handles clearing and repairs.

What if there is no accessible cleanout?

Tell us when you book. We will confirm access beforehand so you are not paying for a visit that cannot be completed.
